The conference programme has been announced!
Attention - Correction - excursion starts at the main TRAIN station in Děčín

Entrance to the venue is from the castle's courtyard.
Fire was present in temperate landscapes for millennia, but over the last centuries, wildfires have almost disappeared. With the increasing climate change, fires are returning, along with a debate about their largely underestimated role in ecosystems.
We are happy to announce a conference Fire in Central European Ecosystems, which will be held in Děčín, near Bohemian Switzerland National Park, three years after an extensive fire in the area. The conference will bring together scientists/researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss the impact of fire on biodiversity across different habitats, its consequences for protected areas and the general landscape, the management of affected areas, and potential use for conservation or protection against severe fire events.
The conference will be held in both English and Czech languages, with translation (simultaneous interpretation) provided.
We welcome a wide range of contributions, both oral presentations and posters, in Czech and English languages focusing on the topic of fire in ecology, management, policy, and social areas.
